On Lee Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Coordinates bring you to a long standing building in the Charlo/Ninepipe farming area a mile off of Hwy 93. It was built in 1914 and has been in use ever since.
This building was built to alleviate the overcrowding of the Post Creek school. It was built on land owned by the Lee family originally. Hence today's name of the site LEON; derived from when they used to say "on Lee's land". In 1928 the school here was closed and the children in the area started attending school in Charlo. The building then became a community center.
Cache has been placed with permission. FTF prize is a Sacejawea One Dollar Coin. Rest of the original contents are: Package of Jelly Bracelets, Purple Toy Jeep, Popcicle Eraser, Quarter & Penny flattened by the Train that runs past St. Regis, Pressed Dale Evans Penny.
