Here is called as Hommachida ruins, beside the Machida city museum.
There used to be some ancient pit-houses in the JOMON/YAYOI period in Japanese prehistory, and now those are rebuilt as before.
It's so wonderful with great pit-houses, well grass area, and nice viewing.

You can enjoy here while a ruins park opens, 9:00 to 16:30 on every Thuesday to Sunday, Monday is non-business day.
(Be careful for early/unexpected close)

ここは町田市立博物館の隣にある本町田遺跡です。
ここでは縄文時代前期後半と弥生時代中期の住居跡がいくつか発見され、一部が復元されています。復元された竪穴式住居や整備された芝生、そして高台にある景色をお楽しみください。

遺跡公園として開放されており、火曜から日曜までの9:00から16:30まで開園していますが、早い時間の閉園や突然の休園日にご注意ください。
