Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a cammoed bison. Do Not go off trail into the butterfly garden ..cache is NOT in garden. This container is only big enough for a log so please BYOP. This cache is placed in Oscar Scherer State Park, Osprey Fl.There is a $5.00 per  car (8 people) daily fee to enter park. There are also other caches here that are more challenging.

June 03-2014: We went out today and moved the cache. It is not in the butterfly garden. The park does not want people walking in the garden, it has just been replanted. We had a rough time with the coords today(cloud cover). The cache has been moved down the trail a bit. If you get to the garden ..you went too far. The cache is before the garden on the edge of the trail. NO Bushwhacking. It will be a shade harder to find...tucked in snug as a bug. This cache is placed on Lester Finley Trail in the South Creek Picnic area. We placed  this cache in honor of our grand daughter's birthday. This trail has been a part of our lives for the last 11 years or so. Butterflies have always been a favorite creature for Rhi. She used to chase after them on this trail when she was a toddler. Now she takes beautiful photos of them. We placed three caches in this area with children and wheelchair bound cachers in mind. The trail is 1/2 mile round trip on paved or hard-packed surfaces. No bush wacking is needed. As always be careful of poison ivy or critters. There are benchs, picnic tables, fishing deck and a water fountain on this trail. Rhi has been "hiking" this trail since she could walk. It's a great place to share with your children. There is a playground  and restrooms and a large picnic area in this area. You can rent canoes and hike other trails,go camping and visit the nature center further down the road. This is a great place to enjoy nature and all outdoor fun. Explore the Park and have a great day. June 03-2014: We went out today and moved the cache. It is not in the butterfly garden.
