The current owners of the property have very kindly given us permission to hide this series of caches.
There is now a mountain bike track which is available for use at a nominal fee.
Heia Safari Ranch has been in existence for 40 years. It is a hidden gem with so much to offer. Our children (not to mention ourselves) love to come here. Having wild animals such as zebra, giraffe, impala, springbok, blesbok and wildebeest roaming freely so close to you is very special. Plus there is a lot of open space creating a sense of freedom. The huge Lake Heritage has a pair of breeding Fish Eagles and its dam wall has been hand built with stone from the area by the late Mr Franz Richter who was the original owner of the property. Heia is truly a wonderful place to visit.

As this cache is on private property, there are some Rules which need to be obeyed.
You do not need to purchase anything!
Please comply with the DOs and DON'Ts. This will ensure that the caches stay for all geocachers to enjoy. Heia Safari Ranch is a licenced establishment with its own bar and restaurant.
- Please DO NOT bring your own food or drink.
- Please DO NOT picnic anywhere on the property.
- Please DO NOT drive anywhere on the property.
- Please DO NOT approach the wild animals or try to pat them. They will hurt you if they feel threatened or cornered!
- Please PARK your car at the designated parking area and proceed to Reception and inform them that you are geocachers to hunt for caches.
The Gate and Reception staff have been informed about geocachers visiting from time to time. This is important so that the owners are aware of the people visiting their property. You will need to sign in when arriving at the main gate. Drive through to the parking area and park your car. Then attempt the caches on foot and enjoy the stunning surroundings. You can do all five caches on the property in under two hours.
