This is a letterbox hybrid which means there is a stamp(s) in the cache. The stamps stay in the cache and is NOT a trading item. If you have a stamp please stamp the log, and use the cache’s stamp to stamp your book. If not, just sign the log book as if you would any geocache.

According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the length of I-275 is 29.97 miles (48.23 km) while MDOT reports the length at 35.026 miles (56.369 km), a discrepancy due to a disagreement over the northern terminus.

The 275 bike trail is 44 mile and built in the 1970's. It runs along I-275 from Northville to Frenchtown Township. It provides a recreational and commuter trail in an area that isn't always bike friendly.

MDOT recently spent $4 million in federal stimulus money to rebuild portions of the trail.

The knight (♘ ♞) is a piece in the game of chess, representing a knight (armoured cavalry). The knight move is unusual among chess pieces. When it moves, it can move two squares horizontally and one square vertically, or two squares vertically and one square horizontally. The complete move therefore looks like the letter 'L'. Unlike all other standard chess pieces, the knight can 'jump over' all other pieces (of either color) to its destination square.
