The Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12. Is this the end of the world? Maybe the end of the world as we know it? I don't know, but fortunately, the numbers have aligned again, and we have an excuse to party (like we really needed one) and celebrate 12/12/12! Geocachers all over the world will be celebrating this alignment. Come join with your geocaching friends as we celebrate this special date. There will be over 50 such events held all over the world as a part of this multi-event. It will be 88 more years before we can use this theme again, so you don't want to miss this event, the next one will be a long wait!
The Mississippi version of the 12-12-12 Multi-Event will be held at McAlisters' in Ridgeland, 731 South Pear Orchard Rd. near Northpark Mall, on 12/12/12, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Come out and celebrate this unique date with your geocaching friends. A special Mississippi version 12-12-12 geocoin will be available, 50 were made, first come first served. Come out and enjoy the fellowship of your fellow geocachers, learn some new techniques, see geocoins & harvest some icons, and share in the great food and time. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
