Geocache Description:


Yamama-dera is a temple more half a century old than Horyuji temple(法隆寺).

Yamada-dera temple was built by Soga no Kurayamada no Ishikawamaro 蘇我倉山田石川麻呂 (d. 649), a grandson of Soga no Umako 蘇我馬子 (551?– 626).

Yamada-dera ruins has been designated as special national historic site in Showa 27(1952) .

The cache is hidden near to the stone monument.
