A frightful three-stage multicache that will take you into the dark places of the forest, where you'll encounter evil creatures and restless mortal remains. Suitable for day or night. Please read the long description carefully for some important information, and expect dank and muddy conditions. Good luck!
Stage 1: A little hand-eye coordination is needed here. Follow the arrow to a traditional and familiar hiding spot, then use the odd implement you find there to retrieve the next stage coordinates. IMPORTANT NOTE: there's a path to the site, but please navigate carefully around the native moss and salal that grow here, stepping only on pine/fir needles. Thanks! Neighbors are aware; still, be stealthy. If you have have trouble with the retrieval, there's always Plan B—but you may find yourself in a sticky situation.
Stage 2: This stage takes you into the Arcata Community Forest down a heavily used trail, so keep an eye out for muggles. The site is fairly open and reception should be adequate. Handle the container carefully (part of it is intended to stay attached to the terrain) as the power of JB Weld may be afflicted during this haunting season.
Final: The final brings you to a dark and horrifying place, so hopefully you remembered your flashlight. Please handle cache with care and replace exactly as found. There's a half dollar for the FTF. Have fun!
