ITA - Questa bellissima fontana monumentale in mosaico è stata ideata e realizza dal maestro Marco Bravura noto mosaicista di Ravenna per essere un simbolo.. Nata a Beirut, sulla spinta di una ispirazione del Ravenna Festival 1999, in occasione dell’evento Le Vie dell’Amicizia, si è poi duplicata per illuminare di mosaico e riempire di simboli Piazza della Resistenza nella nostra città nel luglio 2004. Una scultura può essere il luogo, il simbolo di identificazione per le etnie della regione che la accoglie: il suo nome “Ardea Purpurea” è uno dei nomi dati anche all’Araba Fenice dalle cui ceneri risorge la vita.

Il mosaico è frantumazione della materia e ricomposizione della stessa in un costante esercizio di ricerca di armonia. La rinascita, la ricostruzione, la tensione all’alto sono rappresentate in questa fontana dall’evoluzione a spirale con movimento elicoidale dei due monoliti che costituiscono l’opera, a simboleggiare il DNA.

ENG - This beautiful monumental mosaic fountain was designed and created by the maestro Marco Bravura, a noted mosaic artist from Ravenna, to be a symbol. Created in Beirut from the inspiration of the Le Vie dell’Amicizia event of the Ravenna Festival 1999, it was then duplicated in July 2004 to illuminate Piazza della Resistenza with mosaic and fill it with symbols. A sculpture can be the place, the identification symbol for the ethnos of the region that welcomes it: its name, “Ardea Purpurea” is one of the names given also to the Phoenix, from the ashes of which life rises. Mosaic is the shattering of material and its recomposition, in a constant search for harmony.

Rebirth, reconstruction, tension on top are represented in this fountain by the spiral evolution with helicoid movement of the two monoliths that make up the work, which symbolise DNA.
