This cache is located on the Bruce County Rail Trail. Trail access is west of Hwy 21.
When you were young, did you ever play pirates or make up a treasure map and then hide a small treasure for your brothers, sisters or friends to find? I did! We all had access to several neighbourhood back yards, tall trees, dog houses, sand boxes and garages in which to hide our secret treasure, and it was always fun to make up the treasure maps. Take a look at the photo of my TREASURE MAP It could be fun for the children to have a printed copy in hand while looking for my secret treasure. Print it on a regular sheet of 8 ½ x 11.
You are looking for THE TRIBAL DANCER'S TREASURE CHEST which is filled with an ever changing variety of “jewels”, gold-ish nuggets, pirate themed bookmarks, smaller boxes filled with treasure, and golden pots of treasure. BEWARE...not all treasure seekers survived their treasure hunt and evidence of this may be seen at times.
Listed coords
To find TRIBAL DANCER'S secret hidden treasure, go to the listed coords, as this is where your treasure hunt begins. From here, you have 2 choices...#1...Project 2471 feet (753 meters) @ 49 degrees, or #2...print out and follow the visual clues on the TREASURE MAP. Structures on the Treasure Map are for reference only as sighted from the trail. Never leave the trail.
CACHE
The treasure chest is a 2.6L lock n Lock appropriately painted. ...this trail is well used by ATVs all year round, so if you hear one coming down the trail while you are at GZ, cover up the treasure, sit down and pretend you are taking a rest! Treasure hunters should always protect the location of this most secret and valuable treasure chest. Muggles are pirates of a different kind!
NOTE #1...JULY 30, 2014...I have just opened this geocache up to everyone after almost 2 years as a Premium members only cache...have fun!
NOTE #2...Please take a piece of TREASURE, (for your young children or grandchildren even if they are not with you) and tell me when the chest is getting low on swag, so that I can keep the box filled with jewels and pirate themed things. No one wants to open up a treasure chest to find that it is empty!!! Do not leave calling cards or name tags. Swag left in the treasure chest must be related to the theme and small...for example...jewels, coins, bracelet, skull, pirate related, sparkling things. You may leave TBs & Geocoins.
FYI: logs mention that the map details are not easily readable if you are caching using a phone app. 2021 Two archived caches on the map are now crossed out
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN...pencils are known to grow feet and escape!

PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ARE RETRIEVING THE CACHE CONTAINER FROM, AND RETURN IT TO THE EXACT LOCATION TO PREVENT MIGRATION...IN THIS CASE, IN IT'S HANGING BASKET.
