The stadium is the home of Raith Rovers who currently play in the Scottish First Division.

The mighty Raith, formed in 1883, moved here in 1891 after being forced to leave their old ground at Robbie’s Park. When Provost Beveridge bequeathed his land to the town, the local corporation purchased the adjacent Robbie’s Park and turned it into the Beveridge Park – a popular place with the local community.

Stark’s Park has had a few upgrades since then - the main stand being built in 1923, the railway stand in the 1980s and a major upgrade including building the north and south stands in 1996 when Raith had to meet stadium criteria to be allowed to take their rightful place in Scotland's top league again (a venture that didn’t last long enough). The stadium has an all seating capacity of 10104.

Raith Rovers Honours.
Scottish League Cup Winners (Coca Cola Cup) - 1994/95
Challenge Cup Winners (Ramsdens Cup) – 2013/14
Scottish League Cup Runners-Up - 1948/49
Scottish Cup Runners-Up - 1912/13
First Division Champions - 1992/93, 1994/95
Second Division Champions - 1907/08, 1909/10, 1937/38, 1948/49, 2002/03, 2008/09
Second Division Runners-Up - 1926/27, 1966/67, 1975/76, 1977/78, 1986/87

Another couple of interesting fact about the Rovers –
The most goals scored in a season – 142 in season 1937/38, this is still a British record. This was achieved playing 34 games.
Highest crowd – before the stadium was re-developed a crowd of 31306 watched a game against Hearts in 1953
Most international caped player is David Morris with 6 caps for Scotland. Ex-players have won a greater number of international caps, but these were achieved after departing (or before joining) the Rovers.
Record victory - 10 – 1, against Coldstream in the 1954 Scottish Cup.
Top goal scorer – Gordon Dalziel with 154 goals for the club between 1987 and 1994.

Dancing in the streets of Raith is a quote used by a BBC commentator from the 60s. Not knowing Raith Rovers are from Kirkcaldy he announced after a Raith Rovers victory that fans would be “dancing in the streets of Raith tonight”. This quote was again used many times on and after the 27th of November 1994 when Raith beat Glasgow Celtic in the Scottish League Cup Final.
