An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Operation Wespe commenced in May 2009 targeting the illicit drug dealing activities of Mr X and Mr Walsh.
 
Drug Enforcement Section (DES) Detectives received information that suspected illicit drug dealer Mr X was permanently relocating to Queensland.  Prior to his relocation, Mr X made arrangements to hand his successful illicit drug business to Mr Walsh.
 
Mr Walsh made arrangements through Mr X to receive a shipment of Cannabis from South Australia.  On 4 November 2009, Adelaide based Mr Peal, flew into Darwin.  From the time he landed in Darwin, Mr Peal was under Police surveillance.  Mr Peal obtained a hire car from the airport and then attended a freight company in the East Arm industrial estate.  Mr Peal collected 8 computer tower boxes that had been shipped from Adelaide.
 
Mr Peal drove to Mr Walsh’s address in Gunn where he delivered the 8 computer tower boxes to Mr Walsh.  Mr Walsh directed Mr Peal to park his hire vehicle in the garage at Mr Walsh’s address.  Mr Walsh and Mr Peal opened the computer tower boxes and removed 38 pounds of cannabis that had been hidden in the computer towers.
 
After the cannabis was unpacked (and presumably counted) Mr Walsh handed Mr Peal $152,000 dollars in a blue carry bag in exchange for the cannabis.  For those of you who have difficulty doing maths without a calculator, that works out to be $4000.00 per pound.
 
Shortly after Mr Peal departed from Mr Walsh’s residence he was stopped on university Avenue by DES officers and arrested.  A search of the vehicle located the $152,000 dollars which was seized by police.
 
At the same time that Mr Peal was being stopped, DES Officers executed a search warrant at Mr Walsh’s residence.  When Mr Walsh was detained by DES Officers he said “I’m f**ked aren’t I?”  The 38 pounds of Cannabis was located in the garage of the residence and a further $23,000 dollars was located in the master bedroom.
 
I have referred to the weight of Cannabis as pounds rather than a metric equivalent as a pound is a standard unit of measurement used by illicit cannabis dealers when selling cannabis in large volumes.
 
Mr Walsh was later sentenced to5 years imprisonment to be released after serving 2 years. 
 
Mr Peal was later sentenced to 4 years imprisonment to be released after serving 2 years.
 
The cache is located on a bridge near where Mr Walsh’s residence use to be located.  In January 2011 the residence was forfeited to the NT government as crime used property.
 
Mr X was never prosecuted in relation to illicit drug matters and therefore his real name can not be used here.

For the FTF there is a DES stubbie cooler in the blue pipe approx 5 meters from the cache.
