barton cemetery Traditional Cache

at this location you will be looking for a small pill bottle, painted black to blend into the shadows. no room for a pen, so please bring your own writing implement. i would recommend parking on the shoulder of east bound hutton road, almost to friendsville rd, just before the stop sign. from here it is a slight uphill to the cemetery, and watch out for groundhog holes. cache is not placed in a disrespectful manner, and available daylight hours only.
this location is another suggested site, as i never knew this cemetery was here. i wasn't sure if i wanted to place one here or not, as the cemetery is in disrepair. once there you will find one headstone, upright and in place. there are metal stakes drove into the ground to mark the foundation stones of another eight markers with wooded crosses on them. piled on the foundation stones and around the wooden crosses are bits and pieces of other markers. i suspect this was done to prevent mower damage? the day of my visit the grass was tall, i would guess the cemetery isn't maintained with dignity. ultimately that was why i decided to place a cache near by. i have caches at a couple of "lost" cemeteries near my home of doylestown. my hope with this cache is to bring people here, to keep this one from getting in any worse shape than it already is.
congratulations to TeamSchaf on there first FTF on 10-21-12
