Geocache Description:

Here you will see a cool rock formation - smoothed out and curved into the shape of a crashing wave. Only that the wave, obviously, is standing (see photos). If someone knows how these formed, please let me know. I don't think this is an issue of a hard rock layer over a softer one.
The cache is a small transparent capsule container, hidden in a niche in the wave wall.
Note that getting to the cache requires a small climb. Bring your own pen.

Jerusalem has had the good fortune to be the first city in Israel to be encompassed by green parks as part of the plan to improve the city's quality of life and to protect its natural surroundings. The Jerusalem Ring is a new metropolitan park that extends over some 1,500 hectares (3700 acres), surrounding the capital to the north, west, and south. The park will preserve ancient landscapes while offering a variety of leisure and recreation opportunities, including footpaths, bicycle trails and picnic sites.

The path starts from The First Station. You can rent some bike also there.

Note: This cache was originally thought to be along the Yam to Yam bicycle trail, and so it was named "Yam to Yam Geo-Powertrail: 8.0 km (standing wave)". This turned out to be a incorrect. On Sep 27, 2013 it was renamed so to associate it with the correct trail.
