Geocache Description:

Cache is located outside the entrance to the Bison Range in Moiese, Montana, along the Hwy 212 right away.  There is ample parking near the entrance as well as at the nearby gift shop, so no need to park on the highway.

As of the beginning of 2022 the Bison Range is now under the full management of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. The bison range was established in 1908 making it well over 100 years old and one of the oldest wildlife refuges in the US.  The bison range is open year round during daylight hours or 7:30 am to 7:30 pm per the entrance sign.  As with many Parks & Refuge, no physical cache is allowed within their boundaries, so this is outside on public right away.
