Geocache Description:

A micro cache hidden under a road-bridge on the Epping Road

This is a part of a pair of caches (with GC37862 Down Under Up & Under Up) inspired by a pair of, now archived, caches on the other side of the world; “First class up & under (up)” (GC27EE2) and "First class up & under (under)" (GC27EDA) hidden by my good friends Vardwombat. It is in many ways a similar location - where a river / creek and footpath go under a major road, but the actual hide is different. The original challenge was to be the first to log both caches.

There is no need to go anywhere near the carriageways of Epping Road - it is under the bridge! If you are tempted to venture onto the road or even near it, then you are looking in the wrong place.

This is not the prettiest of places, and not great for geokids. However the track under this bridge links two pleasant bush walks beside Stringybark Creek in Batten Reserve and along the Yangoora Bushland track. Arguably there is also some cultural significance here.

The GPS will obviously not work under the bridge, so the hint is rather a spoiler.

There is a log only. Please bring own pen. No room for trackables.
