Geocache Description:

Easy grab near maintenance road on Jekyll Island.

*** Congratulations to PelicansArePelicans for FTF! ***

This cache is near one of the maintenance roads crisscrossing the interior of Jekyll Island State Park. Should be an easy find and a pleasant walk.

There are "trailheads" both on the east and west side of the road. The one on the west is at the end of Bond Rd. The one on the east is near a maintenance shed. The entrance from the east (oceanside) is a much longer walk; which is not a bad thing.

Please note that there is a $6 entrance fee to get onto the island.

There is an unactivated geocoin in the cache to sweeten the deal for the FTF (along with various other small Things).

Happy caching!

The Panther

His vision, from the constantly passing bars,
has grown so weary that it cannot hold
anything else. It seems to him there are
a thousand bars; and behind the bars, no world.

As he paces in cramped circles, over and over,
the movement of his powerful soft strides
is like a ritual dance around a center
in which a mighty will stands paralyzed.

Only at times, the curtain of the pupils
lifts, quietly--. An image enters in,
rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
plunges into the heart and is gone.

---- Rainer Maria Rilke
