The listed coordinates will bring you to the beginning of the night cache. If the gate at the turnoff is locked you will need to park there and walk in about 680 metres to the start. I've listed the difficulty as a 3.5 because once you head in the bush it's rougher but if you do this cache on a full moon consider it a 5 and good luck...
The other night Margran, the dude and I were at our favourite pub when we overheard some locals talking about recent werewolf sightings just outside of town. I thought this would be a good time to combine my interest in other werewolves with a night cache so I decided to go check out the location. I dropped off Margran and the dude and drove out of town. I parked my vehicle on the side of the road, got out and locked it. I found myself heading into the woods. While I am usually prepared this time all I had was my cache container and it was already getting dark. Like so many other caching adventures I knew this was not a good idea but like so many other times I found myself following the path further into the bush as dark started to close in around me. Although I couldn't see further than the edge of the path I kept turning around and looking behind me. A movement caught my eye. I tried to smooth down the hairs on the back of my neck. What am I scared of I thought? I am the Werewolf. I kept walking further into the woods. I just needed to find the right spot for GZ then I would leave. Suddenly branches started cracking loudly in the darkness near me. I tossed the cache container in the bush and started running as fast as I could. I fell, smashing my elbows and knees on the ground. I stood up breathing hard. I started crying. Which way was the vehicle? I ran blindly down the path. I could hear footsteps thudding on the trail behind me but I was too scared to look back. This time I'd really gone too far. This was worse than the time I fell through the ice under the bridge at night! Finally my feet were splashing through a big puddle and I knew the car was just on the other side. I grabbed at my pockets. I could hear heavy breathing just behind me. Where were the keys? I pulled them out, opened the van, threw myself in and locked the door. I am not coming back here again without backup I thought to myself.
Follow the single tacks until you reach 2 white circle tacks then start looking in the bush for singles again. It is rougher here watch your step. When you reach 3 white circle tacks the cache is within 10 meters. USE CAUTION. There are single white circle tacks on the backs of the trees to guide you out. If you get lost use the coordinates for the starting point on your gps to get back to your vehicle.
This is a night cache in the bush so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, bring your flashlights and spare batteries, cell phone for emergencies, your gps to get you back to the starting point and travel in a group. There are silver bullets behind the first tree if you need protection:).
