This cache is part of the BoG series, showing our appreciation of the area and some of our favourite songs and bands. "BoG - Into the (Spey) Valley pays homage to a fine Scottish band from Dunfermline, The Skids and their classic "Into the Valley".
The cache is beside Sustrans Route 7, on Deshar Road in Boat of Garten, and offers a lovely view of the Spey Valley. Parking is available in the village. The cycle path itself is accessible by wheelchair and stroller, although the cache location may not be.
The area that this cache is placed contains some protected wildlife, and there is an SSSI (site of special scientific interest) nearby. I thank Will Anderson, Forestry Director with Seafield Estates, for giving his kind permission to place this cache series, and they have been placed to avoid sensitive areas. Please take heed of any signs you come across and be respectful of wildlife. During late 2012, some forestry work will take place, so please avoid these areas.
The medium sized cache contains swag, a log and pencil, and also has a first to find trackable.
