Officially Stumped Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

Our first cache. Lots of footpaths around here which can become a bit boggy underfoot in bad weather, but make for lovely short walks in the right weather/ clothing combinations.

Look for a rotten tree stump and if rolled to one side you should find the cache easily enough. ** I will check later this week to see all OK.. Update to follow, apologies for dnf's.

Head in an easterly direction from the parking area at the bottom of the steep hill heading towards Mitford road. If you get to the footpath going right, towards kirkhill (and the ruined abbey) then you have gone too far.
The cache is a small box approx 6 inches by 4 inches. It is located in undergrowth behind a rotten tree stump about half way along the path.
