North Country - Eagle 3 Traditional Cache

This is a small container hidden along a new section of the North Country Trial SW of Kindred ND. This is about 30 feet off the hiking trail. This is probably a mile hike from the parking area. This is located along the yellow trail. The trail may prove a challenge for some people with slippery and uneven ground, stiles to cross barbed wire fences and moderate to steep slopes. This is not likely to be winter friendly. Bring your own pencil.
Seven scouts from Troop 214 working on their Eagle projects performed various service projects getting this trial up and running. This is on the Albert K. Ekre Grassland Preserve (Happy Valley Ranch) donated by Ekre to the North Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources. The trail was officially opened on 21 Oct, 2012. Permission to place this cache was granted from the Natural Resources Management staff at NDSU.
