Geocache Description:

Should be an easy p&g in an unlikely place for a slice of the outdoors!

This cache is placed during another of our many Chicora District Cub and Boy Scout events, and is being placed with the owner's knowledge and permission.  This beautiful campground opened in June 2012 and many people have yet to find this little slice of outdoor paradise in the middle of Socastee. We have camped here as a family and as part of a group of 150 Cub Scouts and their families, and love having a quiet, friendly, clean, waterfront campground where we can escape to the woods without leaving the city.  There is a parking lot just inside the entrance to the campground but to tour the campground you must stop at the office for a pass.  The cache is located just outside of the gates and so is accessible at all times.
