This is one of 20 caches along the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway Geotrail. The paper punch is unique to this cache and is used to identify your visit here in your CLSB Geotrail logbook. Use the punch to mark the corresponding number in your logbook (the number is in the cache title). Please do not remove the paper punch from the cache. Once you have found 15 of the CLSB geotrail caches, you can turn in your logbook for a free commemorative geocoin. UPDATED 9/19/20 It sounds like there are still coins available, but the punches go missing here very regularly so I'm reluctant to keep putting in more. If there isn't a punch when you find the cache, I recommend taking a photo of the cache and logbook and showing it as proof that you found the cache.
This cache will bring you to Ithaca's Stewart Park - a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy the view, have a picnic, or let the kids play. You can read more about the park and its history here. Park hours are 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., and dogs are not permitted. You will be searching for a camo'd Lock-n-Lock. Please rehide the cache as well or better than you find it, using all available materials (rocks, bark, leaves) for camo. This area can be extremely busy at times, so please use appropriate stealth. Lots of folks are reporting poison ivy, so please use caution. Enjoy your tour of the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway!
