Geocache Description:

ENGLISH VERSION

To celebrate (with a little delay) my first 100 caches found, here is my first... I hope it will not be too … beginner... Happy geocaching to all of you…

At the northern entrance of Mulhouse, the commercial area of Kaligone (on the bench of the common Kingersheim) strongly developed around the European headquarters of the company who operates two large furniture stores. It is the second commercial area of Alsace.

The word " Kaligone " is a pure creation and does not refer to any element or historical real place. However, it is an original link between modern and old, between tradition and innovation.

In Alsatian, potash says "Kali". The "K" recalls Kingersheim and despite the "K", these two syllables are sweet to the ear. The suffix "Gone" comes from the Greek. It means the form. All therefore combines the modern resonance of the term geometry and potash tradition, but it also combines the classic character of Greek reference and economic modernity of this century.
