A slightly Pesky cache... Traditional Cache
AnubisRW + SkyTurtle: The container is missing, and the groundskeeping crew seems a little more diligent in trimming the base of the right field pole, which is where the cache was.

A geocache to honor the late, great Johnny Pesky.
Johnny Pesky was a beloved Red Sox player who sadly, is not with us anymore.
Johnny Pesky followed his rookie season (where he led the league with 205 hits, and placed 3rd in the MVP voting) by spending the next three years overseas during World War Two. When he returned, he picked up where he left off, leading the league in hits in 1946 and 1947. He also was among the top 10 in OBP six times over his 10 year playing career. After leaving Boston for his final three seasons as a player, he later returned to be (at various times) the teams manager, TV and radio color-commentator, bench coach, and hitting coach. He was honored by being selected to raise the team's World Series Championship banners from both 2004 and 2007, and further honored by having his number 6 retired in a ceremony on September 23rd, 2008.
The right field foul pole (home of the shortest home run distance in the Major Leagues, at 302 feet) at Fenway Park, where Johnny hit 6 of his career 17 home runs, was officially renamed Pesky's Pole on Johnny's 87th birthday.
Johnny Pesky passed away on August 13, 2012 at the age of 92.
This should be a quick find (if you are familiar with Johnny Pesky!) The cache only has room for the log, so please bring your own pen/pencil/crayon/chunk of coal to sign with! The park is closed at dusk, and dogs are not allowed. Thanks and good luck!
