Bonfire Night 2012.

"Remember Remember the 5th of november", dieses Sprichwort kennt bestimmt jedes britische Kind.
Genau darum geht es bei diesem Event.

Um diesen Tag, den sogenannten "Gunpowder Plot", zu gedenken gibt es gerade in England die traditonelle "Bonfire Night" die jedes Jahr mit Feuerwerken und Fackelzügen gefeiert wird.
Genau darum geht es auch bei diesem Event.
Natürlich wird hier kein Attentat verübt, sondern das Feuerwerk bewundert
Nach dem unerwarteten Erfolg meines ersten Geocaching-Events in Bergen wird es langsam Zeit für etwas neues. Hierzu lade ich euch herzlich ein.

Am:

um 17:00 Uhr

bei den angegebenen Koordinaten zu einem Bonfire ein.

Jeder Cacher ist gerne willkommen.
Egal ob 1 oder 100 Funde.
Anfänger oder Profi.
Wie auch beim letzten Event hoffe ich doch sehr, das auch die britischen Mitbürger erscheinen werden.
Wäre doch sonst schade, wenn gerade diese eine alte Tradition nicht weiterleben lassen.

Auch die neuen Member ist gerne gesehen.
Von diesen sind in letzter Zeit ja einige hinzugekommen die bestimmt jeder Mal kennenlernen will.
Selbstverständlich werden auch wieder Fachgespräche und Tbs an der Tagesordnung stehen.
Schönes Wetter ist auch bestellt, jetzt bleibt nur zu hoffen, das es auch pünktlich kommt.
Ich hoffe auf zahlreiches Erscheinen, damit man vielleicht auch mal das ein - oder andere Gesicht hinter dem Cache kennenlernt.
Vielleicht kann man sich auch über den ein - oder anderen Cache informieren den man einfach nicht finden kann.


Bitte gebt in eurem "Will Attend" an mit wieviel Personen ihr erscheinen werdet..
Wenn ihr aus irgendeinem Grund verhindert sein solltet schreibt dies bitte seperat als "Write Note", damit die übersicht gegeben ist.
Parkplätze sind auf dem großen Gelände massenhaft vorhanden.
Hier das Programm:

17:30 Uhr - Guy Fawkes Competition ( Kinder basteln eine Guy Fawkes Figur, und die beste Gewinnt einen Preis. Danach werden alle Figuren verbrannt)
18:00 Uhr - Bonfire Lit (Das Lagerfeuer wird entzündet)
18:30 Uhr - Fireworks Display (Das Feuerwerk wird gezündet, und dauert ca. 20 Minuten)
21:00 Uhr - back gate Closes. (Nur für Militärangehörige wichtig)
Mir ist bewusst, das dass Event auf einen Montag fällt, und das wir alle am nächsten Tag arbeiten müssen.
Aber 4 Stunden sollten doch zu schaffen sein, oder?
Ihr könnte auch gerne vor 21:00 Uhr schon nach Hause gehen, aber auf keinen Fall später.
Ich kann alle Cacher beruhigen die meinen es handelt sich um einen Militärischen Sicherheitsbereich handelt.
Dieser Bereich wird öfters für Veranstaltungen genutzt, und auch die Zufahrt ist an diesem Tag erlaubt.
Der gesamte Bereich ist ausgeschildert.
Es gibt sogar noch einen Cache kurz vor dem Veranstaltungsort, den einige von euch bestimmt noch nicht haben.
Für euer leibliches Wohl ist gesorgt. (Vielleicht gibt es auch Fish 'n Chips)
Ich hoffe auf zahlreiches Erscheinen eurerseits, und großen Interesse an dieser Veranstaltung.

Was müsst ihr mitbringen?:

Ganz einfach!

- 4 Stunden Zeit.
- einen leeren Magen zum füllen
- Freude an Feuer und Feuerwerken

Ist doch nicht zuviel Verlangt.
Also tragt euch als "Will Attend" ein, und frischt nochmal euer Englisch auf.

Bonfire Night 2012.

"Remember Remember the 5th of November", This saying is probably known by most Brits and they have known it since they were kids.
This is exactly what this event is all about.

Almost 407 years ago Guy Fawkes tried to murder King James I. This day was also known as the Gunpowder Plot and gets celebrated now every year as we know it now as Bonfire night with fireworks and Guy Fawkes dummy competitions and then the dummies are set alight on top of the bonfire. Of course we do not intend to murder anyone on this night (just 23hunter) we are just here to enjoy the display.
It is about time I hosted another event after the unexpected success of my previous event. I would like to invite you all to this event.

Every cacher is welcome to come.
It doesn’t matter if you have done 1 cache or 100 caches, if you are a beginner or a pro.
As before on my previous event in Bergen I wish to see many of our British Cachers that live nearby.

Old and New. Everyone is welcome.
Of course we will also be giving each other tips and tricks exchange and show some trackables.
The good weather has been booked for the evening. Lets just hope that it also turns up.
I hope You will attend numerously!

Please state in your “will attend” how many people will be in your party, there will also be pleanty of parking available on site.
The program for the evening is::

1730hrs - Guy Fawkes Competition
1800hrs - Bonfire Lit
1830hrs - Fireworks Display
2100hrs - back gate Closes.
I am aware that this event is on a Monday and most of us will have to work the next day.
But surely you will be able to spare a few hours for this event.
The event will not go any longer than 2100hrs so this is not too late.
Please note that this is on the military training area and this area has been allowed access for the bonfire night display.
All signs and traffic signs must be adhered to ensure a safe and present evening.
There is also a Cache Cache closeby to the Event, which some of you might not have.
Well-being concerning food was guaranteed. (Fish 'n Chips anyone?)

What to take with you…:

Simples…

- A few hours of your time.
- an empty belly for filling up with yummy food
- Big smile and enjoyment.

Get yourself marked down as “will attend” and get those questions ready for the German cachers to answer.
