Geocache Description:

The cache is a magnetic key holder which contains a log only.  Please be sure to BYOP and sign the log.  Timing is key on this one -- try to steer clear of the weekends or it may be difficult dealing with hundreds of muggles. The other item of note are the hours of the park -- there are no posted hours but the park does close at dusk each day. Opening really seems to depend on when the town of Northport folks get there in the morning.

The cache is located in Steers Park -- a Northport Village park located in the residential neighborhood formally known as Northport Harbor Estates.  Also known as "the pit" because it was built on the site of the former Steers Mining Company. The numerous ball fields are used by the Northport Youth Center Soccer League and the Northport Little League. There is a concession stand, playground and pavilion on site.
