The title says it all. Follow the road until you get to the big, blue, shiny, new tank and take the path across from it. If you find yourself bushwacking, you're going the wrong way. The gate is open during daylight hours from May 1 - October 15. There's room to park along side the road. If the gate is closed, park beside it and take a .6 mile round trip stroll.
