*****NEWS FLASH***** Courtesy of a couple of local cachers, there is a plan in place to publish 12 new caches nearby on the morning of this event!!! Did you know that Groundspeak will be awarding a special souvenir to anyone caching on 12/12/12? That's right! Wahoo!! =======================================
This is going to be a flash mob, meaning that everyone is to gather at the listed coordinates at 12 noon on Wednesday the 12th day of the 12th month of 2012. The event will last for 12 minutes and 12 seconds ending promptly at 12:12:12.
The memorial at this location honors the World War II US Army Air Corps. Let's make this an "aviation" theme. Use your creativity (propeller beanies, paper airplanes, authentic WW II airplane models, R/C (radio controlled) airplanes, . . .). If we could get some pictures taken and posted that would be great as well.
I'll have a log book for folks to sign and a "meal" to be enjoyed by all who attend. Please let me know if you can think of ways we can improve the participation and fun of this flash mob.
Hope to see many cachers there to commemorate this unique alignment of date/time and to honor those who served so gallantly to defend our freedoms.
