Welcome to the 1st Annual East meets West Geocaching Event.
YO YO YO BLING BLING BLING (I only put this because my other half said that the paragraph below doesn't sound like me)
North Carolina is a very diverse geocaching state. In it you have 3 distinct regions of geocaching areas, the Coast, Piedmont, and the Mountains. In these regions geocachers and the geocaches they hide have developed patterns and trends based on the their individual personality and the geographical restrictions they are given.
It is this diversity that makes North Carolina the Geocaching state it is. So what better way to bring this diversity together then to have an East meets West event.
This is going to be an Annual event and the location will change yearly to experience the different regions of NC.
The Event will start at 11am with a meet and greet.
11:20 We will have a East meets West geocache exchange. What is this you ask? (Bring a geocache or something symbolic that represents your region, make sure it is in a brown bag or box) Ex: Bottle of sand, Jar of rocky soil, a cache hide in your area, a signature hide type of yours) Just something fun!
12:00 We will have a battle for the Blinging Nerf Can!!!!!!!! We will split into 2 Teams and have a Nerf Battle! (If you have your own/extra Nerf stuff please bring them along)
Lunch will be afterward. We will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers. Please feel free to bring a covered dish/side item/dessert to share for lunch!
Lastly and most importantly we will be giving the opportunity to geocachers to help name the new wave of Bling Trail Caches. This will be going out towards a good cause :). More details will be posted soon.
