A nice quick climb for cachers to get their exercise today!
The TANZ!! Tribe was out cachings in an area just outside of Lewiston off Tammany Creek. We had just made a find when 9yo N and 6yo Z decided they wanted to make sure they had reached the top of the hill! By the time T reached their elevation, they had determined that a cache needed to be placed in this very spot! Z decided to name the hill Stammy because, to him, it was just a GREAT name and he felt quite accomplished in climbing to the top! We had a great time placing the cache at 1275' and climbing up further. The parking is 400' lower and about .8 miles away for a nice 9.5% grade for the walk. Even the 6yo made the journey in about 20 minutes.
A great area in the fall/winter/spring when the cheat grass and star thistles are not at war with your socks and shins!
This one should be a quick find as you will see your target from the parking lot!
