Greg Nelson: End of Watch - Sometime in 2016.
All good things must come to an end. So it is with this cache.
I went out to check on this one today, and found nothing. In fact, the original hiding spot had been largely swept away by flooding the past couple of seasons. The big tree was still there, but the surrounding brush that covered the cache was long gone. For that matter, so was the cache itself. I searched around for a good 20 minutes, in the hope that the ammo can was still in the area, but came up empty.
I'm several years removed from active geocaching, and I also no longer live within a reasonable distance for maintaining this cache. (Also, those thorns are NASTY!) So, at this point, I'm going to archive this cache.
Thanks to all the many, many geocachers who searched for this one over its nearly FIFTEEN year history.
I'm glad I was able to draw you out to this beautiful park, and I hope you enjoyed it as well.
That's also going to wrap it up for me on geocaching.com. I had a lot of fun with it in the past, particularly during my son's pre-school and early elementary years. I'll always be grateful for those experiences. But time marches on (as did my now-college-aged son), and my interests have shifted focus.
Vaya con dios, everyone!
