The cache is located outside the Virginia Museum of Transportation. Free parking is available immediately in front of the Museum. The cache is a short walk from the heart of downtown Roanoke, including the Farmer's Market in downtown Roanoke, the Hotel Roanoke, the Roanoke Valley Visitors Center, shops and restaurants. Follow the Goode Railwalk from the heart of downtown to the VMT. Prize for FTF.
The cache is found on an outdoor exhibit on Museum property. Admission to the Museum is not mandatory. The cache blends nicely into its surroundings. Finders can follow the Goode Railwalk. The Railwalk parallels the mainline for the Norfolk Southern system. As you search for the Cache, you can watch trains pass just a few feet away. (Please remember to respect Norfolk Southern property and to stay off the railroad tracks.) The Railwalk starts at the Market Building in downtown Roanoke and ends outside the VMT. The Cache is found at the end of the Railwalk.
