The lake itself, the rolling farmlands, the striking waterfalls and gorges all contribute to a sense of bounty and connection to nature. This cache is in the community of LANSING where you may want to visit the LANSING CENTER TRAIL on your tour of our lake.

This is one of 20 caches along the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway Geotrail. Pick up an official CLSB logbook, find at least 15 caches in the series, and claim a commemorative geocoin.

Please do not remove the paper punch from the cache!

Once you have found 15 of the CLSB geotrail caches, you can turn in your logbook
for a free commemorative geocoin. For more information regarding the Cayuga Lake
Scenic Byway Geotrail, including how to get your geotrail logbook, please visit the CLSB site here.

The Lansing Center Trail meanders 2.4 miles on about 140 acres of town-owned land opposite the Lansing Town Hall. It is designed as a perimeter path with a few interior loops and wonderful views of the Cayuga Lake Valley, the National Forest backbone, Connecticut Hill, and Newfield hills. This cache involves a round-trip walk of less than a 1/3 of a mile on well-maintained mowed trails. See trail map in gallery.

✦ Use as a footpath only.
✦ The trail is closed after dark.
✦ All pets must be on leash and waste cleaned up by owner.
✦ Please do not litter — carry-in/carry-out!
✦ Stay on the trail & respect the privacy of neighbors.
✦ Entering or crossing cultivated farm land is strictly forbidden.
✦ No motorized vehicles, snowmobiles, bikes or horses allowed on walking trails.
