Geocache Description:

A park-and-stroll in the sleepy town of Gunning, not far from the highway.  A good place to stretch your legs with plenty of facilities and food places nearby.  Cache container is a camouflage-coloured plastic jar about 1L in size which will fit most trackables.  I've stocked it with some basic kiddy-safe swaps.  Caravans often park nearby so try to keep out of view of the muggles if you can.

That cache was archived and can't be resurrected, but I wanted to adopt this area as it's a handy facility for travelling geocachers and worth drawing attention to.  I moved GZ slightly as the old container had been left out in the open, perhaps by muggles.  There's a bit more tree cover in the new location.

You can legally and freely park your caravan here for two nights.  There are showers, toilets, BBQ facilities, chairs and tables, swings and a playground for the kiddies.  There's even a public swimming pool - although at the time of writing it's fairly green, photos in the earlier cache logs show it looking better maintained, so maybe it's a seasonal thing.  This is a nice grassy area with a canal, complete with ducks.  It's a short walk to the main strip of town where there's some cafes and nice little shops.  Not a bad place to take a break if you're passing through!
