Geocache Description:

Small cache hidden in an old cemetery near Farmersburg.

As the Farmersburg surface mine progressed through the area, they mined around this old cemetery, which was unknown until discovered by the logging crews working ahead of the mine. Apparently at some point during the mining, the cemetery looked like a giant pillar in the middle of the mining pit. Now the area has been reclaimed and access has been restored to the cemetery. Access the cemetery from the southwest as the road to the north is still being worked on to convert it from the mine haul road to a county access road. If someone knows the name of this cemetery, please post a note and I will change the cache listing accordingly. Watch for bald eagles in the area; I saw one when hiding this cache at the ponds directly west. Also beware of hungry trees that like to eat wire fences!

Since this is in a cemetery, no night caching is permitted. Please be respectful and clean up any trash you may find nearby.

Container is a small lock&lock with room for small items or trackables.
