The North Shore of Quartz Mountain State Park is a nice wooded area that provides some great outdoor recreational activities. Unfortunately geocaching has not been one of those activities until recently. This is the second cache placed along the winding North Shore Road.
This one should have you spending more time in the area than its fellow cache just down the road. As the name suggests, this is a micro hidden in the woods. You are looking for a tethered camoed matchstick container.
Make sure you put it back just like you found it so the next cacher can have as much fun as you did. Please don't try to be helpful and leave it where next cacher (or muggle) will just have a park and grab.
The terrain rating is based mainly on the undergrowth. The ground is fairly flat, but if we get our normal rains the brush can be quite dense. Thankfully for you it’s not a long walk at all.
Please do not park alongside the road. You can either use the small pull-in or park across the road at the OVR trail parking area.
Hopefully you figure this one out and log a find. If not and you need a hint post a DNF and drop me a line. Happy Hunting.
Congratulation to 2Moore on the FTF.
