SOME FACTS ABOUT THE ATLANTA BRAVES
EAST DIVISION OF NATIONAL LEAGUE
FOUNDED IN 1871 & OLDEST CONTINUALLY PLAYING TEAM IN AMERICAN PRO SPORTS
ORIGINALLY THE BOSTON RED STOCKINGS, IN 1912 THEY CHANGED TO THE "BRAVES". THEY MOVED TO MILWAUKEE IN 1953 AND THEN TO ATLANTA IN 1966. BETWEEN 1991-2005 THEY WERE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FRANCHISE WINNING 14 CONSECUTIVE DIVISION TITLES.
