Long Awaited Greenway Traditional Cache

There is Parking now. The private dirt road is now Legion Way to a new rest area for the bike trail.
The bikers and hikers have been waiting for this section of the Greenway Bike Trail forever! Finally, the path has been cleared, leveled, concrete and pavement laid. As of today there is one section yet to pave & then it will be open from Leetonia to Washingtonville near Rt. 14. There is still a section that you must travel on village streets, and the long section on Washingtonville Road -- because some of the local farmers won't give up their right-of-way for the old railroad line that runs through their properties.
EVENTUALLY this bike trail will connect Lake Erie with the Ohio River! Woo Hoo! This part of the bike trail is a continuation of the Greenway that comes up from Lisbon to Leetonia, so there isn't any parking nearby. During the day you can park at the American Legion in Leetonia or maybe on Boston St. in Washingtonville. During the evenings and weekends you can probably get away with parking in one of the Quaker City Septic Tanks lots, but not during the weekdays when their trucks come and go. From the Leetonia end it is .6 mile to the hidden cache. From the Washingtonville side at Boston and Half streets, it is .4 mile.
