Ironbark Torture Trail Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The Cache is located just off a less used track on Castle Hill.
The Ironbark Torture Trail refers to the whole track from James St to the top where the track meets the Summit circuit Walk.
To experience the whole torture park in James St West End. Walk the path that follows the water pipe and about 20 minutes later you will come to Castle Hill Road.
If you think you are doing well the final climb is the bit that does me in.
From the uphill end of the crash barrier, you will see the track continue into the grass (as per photo).
The cache is located near a grove of trees just before the final climb.
Please Note: If you decide to tackle the cache from the top then the track is VERY STEEP, VERY SLIPPERY and DANGEROUS. Take Care
The cache is an ammo tin just off the track and placed in rocks to help protect from the yearly burnoffs
