Strašidelné místo poblíž pozůstatků starého kostela A ghostly site close to the ruins of a church.
Údolí Javorničky je místem mnoha duchů. Na jeho konci stojí kubistický kalich na památku husitské bitvy, na kterou dějiny zapomněly. Když sem pronikl elektrický proud, vyrostl tu mlýn. Byl vybudován i náhon, jenž odváděl vodu z Javorničky do rybníku, který sám o sobě vznikl tím, že se kolem budov starého statku - byl prý mezi nimi i kostel - postavily hráze. V mlýně ale došlo k výbuchu, při kterém dva zaměstnanci přišli o život, a tak byl prodán. Jeho další majitel se v pětačtyřiceti letech zastřelil svým revolverem, a protože křesťané nedovolovali pohřbívat sebevrahy v posvěcené půdě kostelních hřbitovů, byl pohřben přávě tady. Za komunismu se podnik dostal do státního vlastnictví, ale chátral, a když byl nakonec navrácen původním majitelům, ti jej prodali mladým manželům, kteří jej chtěli obnovit jako statek. Poté, co se statek stal jejich majetkem, se na něj manželé přijeli podívat. Nebyli na místě ani hodinu, když se jim obrovská budova přímo před očima zřítila. Naštěstí nebyl tentkorát nikdo zraněn. Teď uvažují o tom, že by na jeho místě vybudovali skleníky a pěstovali tu ovoce a zeleninu pro své organické hospodářství. Někdo si myslel, že to nebyla váha sněhu, kvůli čemu se budova zřítila, a nastříkal na zbytek zdi slova "Boží Dílo ". Nevyzpytatelné jsou cesty Páně...
The Javornik valley is a place of many ghosts.
At the top of the valley is a cubist chalice which commemorates the site of a Hussite battle which has been forgotten by historians.
When electricity was first discovered, a mill was built. A mill race was constructed to divert water from the Javornik stream and carry it to a pond, which itself was constructed by putting dam walls up around the old farm buildings - one of which was rumoured once to be a church.
An explosion in the mill lead to two employees loosing their lives, and the mill was sold.
Christians believe that if you commit suicide then you will go to hell, and will not allow those that do so to be buried in church graveyards. This is why the next owner of the mill, a man who shot himself with his revolver at the age of 45, is buried here.
The business was put into state ownership by the communists, but it was badly maintained and it was sold again by the original owners to a young couple who wanted to renovate the farm. After they bought the farm, they came to visit and on the very first hour of the very first visit, the huge building collapsed in front of them. Luckily nobody was hurt by the tragedy. They plan instead to convert it into a market garden greenhouse to grow fruit and vegetables for their organic homestead.
Somebody thought that it was not the weight of snow that destroyed the buildings, and graffitied the side of the building with the chastening words "The Work Of God". God moves in very, very mysterious ways.
