Geocache Description:

Nam Shan Tree Walk is a 440 metre long wooded path where 21 interpretation plates are placed with information about common plant species. It is the beginning part of stage 2 of Lantau Trail, with one end joining South Lantau Road and the other at Pak Kung Au (6.5 km of difficult hiking).

 

Nam Shan is a lovely picnic and BBQ area at the beginning of Lantau Trail stage 2. If you’re planning on hiking Lantau Trail stage 1 from Mui Wo pier it is better to follow Nam Shan Old Village path which passes through Luk Tei Tong before going up to Nam Shan. The hike along South Lantau Road is miserable.

The cache is easily accessible near the Nam Shan Tree Walk.
