Nam Shan is a lovely picnic and BBQ area at the beginning of Lantau Trail stage 2. If you’re planning on hiking Lantau Trail stage 1 from Mui Wo pier it is better to follow Nam Shan Old Village path which passes through Luk Tei Tong before going up to Nam Shan. The hike along South Lantau Road is miserable.
This cache is hidden at a rarely visited area of Nam Shan. From the GZ there is a nice view of Mui Wo and Silver Mine Bay. There is no need to go down the overgrown path.
