FOUNDED IN 1901 AS PART OF ONE OF EIGHT CHARTER FRANCHISES

THE SOX PLAY IN AMERICA'S MOST BELOVED BALLPARK FENWAY PARK WHICH OPENED IN 1912

THE NAME RED SOX WAS COSEN BY OWNER JOHN I. TAYLOR IN 1908
THEIR FIRST WORLS SERIES WON WAS IN 1903.
THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO LASTED 86 YRS AND WAS FINALLY BROKEN WHEN THE SOX RALLIED FROM 0-3 DOWN AGAINST THE YANKEES TO WIN 4 STRAIGHT TO GO TO THE WORLD SERIES AND THEN BEAT COLORADO ROCKIES 4 STRAIGHT FOR THEIR 1ST CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE 1918.
