The Rock
One of the most photographed seascapes in Western Australia, Sugarloaf Rock is in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. This impressive rock formation dominates the coastline near Cape Naturaliste.
You can see experienced rock fishermen taking up the challenge from the edge of the rock – but the powerful swell is not for amateurs.
Sugarloaf Rock is also a great place for bush walking and bird watching. It’s the only known nesting site in the south west of the red-tailed tropic bird.
The Cape-to-Cape walking trail passes by Sugarloaf Rock – journey along this track and you might see humpback and southern right whales off the coast
