While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Geocache Description:

From the cache location you can see the Halsa fjord branching off from the Vinje fjord (see map in cache description). The Halsa Fjord gets its name from the "neck" of land that stretches into the fjords on the other side from the cache location. "Halsa" is alsp the municipality you see on the other side.

NORWEGIAN:


Halsafjorden er ein fjordarm av Vinjefjorden i Tingvoll, Halsa og Surnadal kommune på Nordmøre. Fjorden strekker seg 16 km sørover. Videre innover strekkeer fjordsystemet seg via flere fjorder til bunnen av Todalsfjorden, en total lengde på 45 km.
Fjorden har innløp mellom Magnhildberget i vest og Volungøya i øst. Et stykke inn i fjorden ligger tettstedet Halsa på østsiden av fjorden. Fra her går det ferje over til Kanestraum på andre siden, som en del av E39. Fjorden går videre sørøstover til Heggemsneset og Vikavollen der han går over i Trongfjorden. Her går òg Bøfjorden inn mot nordøst. Fv351 går langs deler av øtsida av fjorden, mens Fv298 går langs vestsiden fra Kanestraum og nordover. Det er Vinjefjorden som er nærmest deg når du står ved cachen, men herfra ser du innløpet til Halsafjorden.

From the cache location you can see the entrance to the Halsa fjord. The fjord closest to where you are is the Vinje fjord. The Halsa fjord is, therefor, an "arm" of the Vinje fjord. The Halsa fjord crosses Tingvoll, Halsa and Surnadal municipalities. Off from the Halsa fjord are several other fjords, i.e.
