Geocache Description:

This cache is to give you the opportunity to have a stroll around the WWT Castle Espie reserve and learn about its wildlife and the area’s history. In order to find the cache you must find the answers to the following questions, and replace the letters with your responses. This series of caches has been placed with kind permission of the WWT Castle Espie. Enjoy!

In this area of the reserve you will get the opportunity to learn a little about the lives of Stone Age Man in the area. You will see a Crannog with a thatched roundhouse. The coordinates given will bring you to a place where you will be able to collect the information to help you work out the coordinates of the cache.

THERE IS AN ADMISSION CHARGE IN ORDER TO ENTER THE RESERVE, AND YOU MUST PAY THIS IN ORDER TO FIND THE INFORMATION REQUIRED AND TO REACH THE CACHE. THERE ARE 3 PUZZLE CACHES IN TOTAL INSIDE THE RESERVE.

G = the grisly remains of how many people were found? add the digits together

H = the number of brushes are available to use

I = bring the two halves together and what shape have you made? What's the number then?

J = the number of 'M's in 'Chop Chop TIM...BER'

Opening times

WWT Castle Espie is open 7 days a week, 363 days a year (only closed 24 & 25 December).

Winter (November to January) Monday to Sunday: 10.00am to 4.30pm

Spring (February to April) Monday to Sunday: 10.00am to 5.00pm

Summer (May to August) Monday to Friday: 10.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday to Sunday 5.30pm

Autumn (September and October) Monday to Sunday: 10.00am to 5.00pm

The centre will remain open until 5.30pm on Bank and Public Holidays during the spring and summer months.

Prices: Admission prices for 2015: Adult £7.99, child £3.90, OAP’s & concession £6.10, family £21.40(2 adults & 2 children) All cards are accepted except Diners and AMEX. Group rates available for 12 or more people. Admission free for WWT members, helpers of visitors with disabilities, and children under the age of four.
