The idea for this drive by cache came while trying to persuade our poor small rental car to go up the hills from Frangokastello to Asi Gonia. So we thought to come back some days later and hide a cache at the top of the hills in a really exposed area were we think you will enjoy an amazing view to the southern coastline of Frangokastello. But this is not the only experience because ... as the name of this cache says there are some more experiences waiting for you ... 'the journey is the reward' :-)
Regardless which way you will take to come here - from the south or from the north - you will be excited. Do not come here to 'only' search, find and log this cache to get an additional find for your geocaching statistics ... but to experience the beauty, the diversity and the incredible nature of the island of Crete.
Nevertheless the cache is hidden and you have to remove 'something' to get it – please do this carefully! We recommend to be very carefully grabing in holes or other unclear aeras – especially if you are searching together with your kids. You should know that there are some kinds of animals which could harm you more or less. It is not very likely to encounter these animals while you are on your cache tour. But it is better to know about any possible risks!
