"On rollon ma boule" refers to a song that voyageurs sang to make the miles of paddling pass.
This cache is located near the site of a French Fort, built in 1729. The fort was built to protect the fur trade routes. It is quite likely that from this fort, French and Indian allies went forth to attack the Indians at the Grand Village of the Maramek, a cache site located about 35 miles West. The outline of the fort is visible to the eye.

As much as I would like to say that the coordinates are bang on, they were taken during a period of high winds( a cold front came through this a.m. and temps dropped from 52 to 32 in minutes) and at 50 mph gusts, trees and branches were coming down fast and furious. I didn't stick around to average. Sorry
