`To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 10th anniversary of Macao’s unification with China, the organizing Committee of the Sculpture Park of the Chinese Ethnics had summoned 56 well-known contemporary sculptors to design sculptures by taking images from the 56 Chinese ethnic groups as models. There works are gifted to Macau SAR and the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau bring the project to realization.`

`Start from 18^th December 2009, the distinctive sculptures are erected in the scenic Grand Taipa Natural Park, creating a wonderful and beautiful landscape.`
